iPad Apps to Improve Your Executive Functioning Skills

As a student, you likely are looking for ways to improve your executive functioning skills. How can you learn to organize yourself, be productive and not forget what you need to do everyday? The IPad has an array of tools to help you stay on task and remember what you need to do.  In addition, the apps can be tailored to your specific needs, whether it be an agenda, folders, color coding, a reminder, a microphone built into a note taking app, or just a simple note.
Remember EverythingEvernote.  It is free.  Forget writing on your hand or sticky notes.  Use your iPhone or iPad 2 take a picture, record a note, send a PDF, or just jot a note. Syncs with your Mac, phone and iPad.
Hand Writing RecognitionWrite Pad allows you a variety of options: handwriting recognition, write your note with your finger or a stylus, check  spelling, executive shorthand, change of character recognition.  It is $9.99, but worth every cent for those who are not familiar with keyboarding or find type too difficult.
Taking NotesNoteability is a note-taking app that allows you to type, insert a figure, and insert a web clip or a picture.  It also allows you to record a teacher’s lecture.  
Remember this Nudge is a quick note to remember something for tomorrow: bring pens to school, tye dying bring in a white shirt. It is set and until you shut it off it Nudges you. 

Students: CourseNotes Color codes your notebooks. Add your teachers. CourseNotes lets you take notes during your classes and keep them organized by subject and class meeting. Review your notes later and search through multiple class meetings and notes all at once. You can also keep a To-Do list by marking notes as To-Do items, or track them as assignments by providing a due date.
